Flying Dutch Take Sixth At MIAA Women's Golf Championship

 

Junior Montana Leep of Hastings (Grand Rapids South Christian HS) tied for 10th place at the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Championships on Saturday.

Leep shot a team-best 89 during the final round at Bedford Valley Country Club in Battle Creek to finish at 25-over par for the 36-hole, two-day tournament.

Leep received second-team All-MIAA honors.

Hope finished sixth in the final MIAA tournament with a 36-hole total of 726. The Flying Dutch shot 363 in each round.

Hope placed fifth in the overall standings.

Others to place for the Flying Dutch were freshman Elena Moore of South Lyon (South Lyon East HS) at 32nd (93-91—184), senior Mary Bradley of Pierson (Tri County HS) at 36th (95-92—187), junior Stephanie Stover of Grand Rapids (Grandville Calvin Christian HS) at 38th (98-91—189) and freshman Dominique Molinaro of Port Huron (Port Huron Northern HS) at 38th (95-94—189).
