The Hope ice hockey team iced the championship of the season-opening Schupan Tournament in Midland on Saturday, beating the University of Central Florida 4-0.
The Flying Dutchmen went 3-0 over the three-day tournament.
Against Central Florida, senior defenseman Caleb Digison of Midland (Midland HS) led Hope by recording one goal and two assists.
Senior forward Justin Glick of Fort Wayne, Ind., (Blackhawk Christian HS), sophomore forward Ryan Restum of East Lansing (Okemos HS) and junior forward Drew O'Brien of East Grand Rapids (East Grand Rapids HS) each chipped in goals for the Flying Dutchmen.
Senior goalie Drew Cook of Columbus, Ohio, (Upper Arlington HS) stopped all 25 shots he faced from Central Florida.
