Will Bowser, Floyd Brady and Dan Shinaberger are among the players who have forged a tradition of excellence for the Hope men's basketball team. Here are five facts about the Flying Dutchmen.

Number of Flying Dutchmen players who scored at least 1,000 points in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play during their careers. Floyd Brady (1964-68) netted 1,170 and still sits in second place today. Dan Shinabarger (1968-72) had 1,117 for third place. Brady scored 2,004 points overall in 89 games to lead Hope all-time, while Shinabarger had 1,841 for third place in school history.

Number of Flying Dutchmen players who have received NCAA Division III All-America honorable mention, including first teamers Chip Henry in 1984, Duane Bosma in 1996, Joel Holstege in 1997 and 1998, Marcus Vanderheide in 2008, Jesse Reimink in 2009 and David Krombeen in 2012.

Number of points for Will Bowser (2008-11) — a school record for a home game. Bowser scored 46 in a 100-95 overtime win against Kalamazoo College on January 26, 2011, shooting 16-for-26 from the floor, including 5-for-12 from 3-point territory. He shot 9-for-10 on free throws and pulled down eight rebounds. With his team trailing by two points early in the second half, Bowser scored Hope's next 14 points to rally the Flying Dutchmen to a 59-52 lead. Tied 85-85 after regulation, he again went on a spurt scoring eight of Hope's 15 overtime points.
