Three Men's Basketball Teammates Selected to College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Teams

The Hope College men's basketball trio of junior Simon Neuhaus, sophomore Carter Bishop and sophomore Charles Howell has been chosen for the 2025-26 Academic All-District Men's Basketball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators.

The program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom in all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA.

Academic All-District recipients must be at least a sophomore academically, have a cumulative GPA of 3.50 or higher, and either competed in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games.

Academic All-District honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced April 14.

Neuhaus (Grand Rapids / East Grand Rapids), a 6-foot-5 forward and business major, earned Academic All-District distinction for the second time. He is joined by 6-3 sophomore guard Bishop (Holt / Holt) and 6-5 sophomore forward Howell (Cadillac / Cadillac).

All three helped the Flying Dutchmen win the MIAA Men's Basketball Tournament and advance to the NCAA Division III Championships for the fourth time in five seasons. Hope finished with an 18-10 overall record.
