Women's Golf

Look back at the Flying Dutch's 2012-13 golf season

Two members of the Hope College women's golf team repeated spots as All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) First Teamers during the 2012-13 season.

Senior Charlotte Park of Grosse Pointe (Grosse Pointe South HS) and sophomore Brittany Haight of Otsego (Otsego HS) both received All-MIAA First Team recognition for the second season in a row. MIAA coaches also gave Park the league's sportsmanship award.

Hope, coached by Greg Stafford, finished third at the MIAA's four-team NCAA Division III national tournament qualifier during the spring season. The Flying Dutch advanced to the league championship round by taking third in the fall standings.

During the fall, Hope also win the Rivalry Challenge against Calvin College in record fashion. Playing at the Macatawa Legends golf course, the Flying Dutch established a women's collegiate course record with a four-player total of 317 strokes. The previous course mark was 318 by Olivet in an MIAA Jamboree in 2009.
