Lindsay Timmerman recorded her lifetime-best performance to lead the Hope College women's cross country team at the Muskegon Community College Jayhawk Invitational on Friday.
The senior from Hamilton, Michigan (Home School), finished 18th out of 109 runners with a 6K run of 19 minutes, 37.12 seconds at University Park Golf Course.
Hope totaled 153 points in the 11-team event. Lansing Community College (39) won.
Freshman Kristin Godwin of Oxford, Michigan (Oxford HS), finished 37th at 20:15.00 for the Flying Dutch, while senior Leah Murray of Iowa City, Iowa (West HS), came in 44th at 20:27.85.
Freshman Anna Dietz of Lake Orion, Michigan (Lake Orion HS), came in 50th at 20:38.76. Miranda Ulmer rounded out Hope's scoring in 57th at 20:52.94.
Other runners competing for the Flying Dutch were: sophomore Amanda Dort of Alpena, Michigan (Alpena HS), in 63rd at 21:05.74, freshman Emily Krueger of Holt, Michigan (Holt HS), in 69th at 21:17.90, sophomore Gabriela Vazquez of Muskegon, Michigan (Muskegon HS), in 74th at 21:29.53, senior Jaci Clark of Normal, Illinois (Normal HS), in 80th at 21:52.11), freshman Shannon Urbanik of Troy, Michigan (Athens HS), in 94th at 23:20.84, and junior Miranda Steele of Zionsville, Indiana (Zionsville HS), in 99th at 24:15.96.
