Senior Rob Calvert of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS), scored twice as the Hope College ice hockey team beat McKendree 7-3 for the second consecutive day on Saturday at Edge Ice Arena.

The Flying Dutchmen are now 2-0 on the American Collegiate Hockey Association season.

Hope jumped out to a 3-0 first-period lead and never trailed.

Five other players had goals for the Flying Dutchmen: freshman Keagan Brown of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Forest Hills Central, freshman Austin Huffer of Columbus, Indiana (Columbus North HS), senior Caleb Morgan of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City Central HS), freshman Justin Pinto of Caledonia, Michigan (Caledonia HS), and senior Eric Webb of Portage, Michigan (Kalamazoo Christian HS).

Calvert also had an assist. 

Goalie Eric Lipon of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), made 25 saves.
