Hope College's Megan Klintworth has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week for rounds played through Oct. 11.

The freshman from Jackson, Michigan, (Hanover-Horton HS), put together rounds of 77 and 74 to win tournament medalist honors and clinch the individual season medalist title last week.

Klintworth led the Flying Dutch to a first-place finish at the MIAA's 36-hole season-ending tournament at Bedford Valley Country Club. Hope won the event and clinched its seventh league championship all-time.

Klintworth's 144-hole average of 79.8 is the lowest in MIAA play in Hope's history.

She is the fourth different Hope golfer to claim MIAA MVP and season medalist honors. 

It's the first MIAA Player of the Week honor in Klintworth's career.
