The Hope College ice hockey team skated to a 6-0 start to the season Friday after defeating Michigan-Flint 7-4 at Edge Ice Arena.
Sophomore Elliott Digison of Midland, Michigan (Midland HS), scored twice and recorded an assist to lead the Flying Dutchmen.
Three second-period goals allowed Hope to break open the game and grab a 5-2 lead.
Senior Caleb Morgan of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City Central HS), chipped in one goal and one assist for the Flying Dutchmen.
Junior Eric Lipon of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), made 26 saves in goal for Hope. Lipon is pictured at right.
The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Saturday, Oct. 25, when they face Michigan-Flint at 6:30 p.m. in Burton, Michigan.
