Goalie Eric Lipon and the unbeaten Hope College ice hockey team defeated Michigan-Flint 4-1 on Saturday in Burton, Michigan.
The Flying Dutchmen improved their American Collegiate Hockey Association record to 7-0 overall after winning both games in the home-and-home series.
Lipon, a junior from Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), made 35 saves.
Junior Ryan Restum of East Lansing, Michigan (Okemos HS), recorded one goal and one assist for Hope. Restum is pictured.
The Flying Dutchmen also received goals from senior Jared Lehman of Carmel, Indiana (Watertown HS), senior Caleb Morgan of Traverse City, Michigan (Traverse City Central HS), and senior Drew O'Brien of East Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS).
Hope returns to action on Friday, Oct. 31, when the Flying Dutchmen host Calvin at Edge Ice Arena. Start time is 7:30 p.m.
