Julia Stock led the 22nd-ranked Hope College women's cross country team to a Top-10 finish in the Greater Louisville Classic's Blue Division on Saturday in Louisville, Kentucky.
The junior from Spring Lake, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), ran a 21st-place time of 18 minutes, 35.43 seconds out of 322 runners in the 6K race.
Hope totaled 350 points for ninth place out of 38 teams.
Junior Michelle Kerr of Dearborn, Michigan (Divine Child HS), came in 32nd with a run of 18:43.78. She is pictured at right.
Sophomore Emily Joosse of Chillicothe, Ohio (Zane Trace HS), took 51st with a time of 18:55.68.
Senior Katie Afton of Portage, Michigan (Portage Central HS), finished 116th in 19:23.79.
Senior Emily Wrozek of Clarklake, Michigan (Hanover-Horton HS), rounded out Hope's scoring. She was 153rd at 19:42.13.
Freshman Rachael Webb of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS), placed 173rd in 19:49.75, while sophomore Mackenzie Govier of China, Michigan (Marine City HS), was 235th in 20:27.24.
Hope races again on Friday, Oct. 10, at the Jayhawk Invitational hosted by Muskegon Community College.
