The Hope College ice hockey team suffered its first loss of the season with a 5-3 defeat at Calvin on Saturday.

Freshman Evan Fall of Royal Oak, Michigan (Royal Oak HS), sophomore Henry DuMez of Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS), and junior Ryan Restum of East Lansing, Michigan (Okemos HS), all scored for the Flying Dutchmen (8-1 overall).

Goalie Eric Lipon of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), made 22 saves for Hope.

Hope returns to action on Friday, Nov. 7, at Oakland.
