The Hope College men's ice hockey team beat Michigan State in a shootout on Saturday at Munn Ice Arena in East Lansing.
The game is recorded in the record books as a 3-3 tie.
Senior Drew O'Brien of East Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) and junior Ryan Restum of East Lansing, Michigan (Okemos HS), scored in the shootout for Hope (9-1-3 overall).
Goalie Eric Lipon of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), stopped both shots he faced during the shootout. He made 26 saves.

Hope went 1-0-1 against Michigan State during the weekend American Collegiate Hockey Association series.
On Friday, the Flying Dutchmen won 4-3 at Edge Ice Arena after Restum scored the tiebreaking goal with 10:33 remaining in the third period.
Lipon made 22 saves.
