Box Score Maura McAfee's season-high in points and her sixth double-double of the season propelled the 10th-ranked Hope women's basketball team past York, Pennsylvania, on Tuesday in Delaware, Ohio.
The Flying Dutch (9-1) will play host Ohio Wesleyan (5-5) in the championship game of the Bishop Classic/Hoops for Hope. Tipoff is 3 p.m. EST Wednesday.
McAfee scored a game-high 25 points and grabbed 11 rebounds.
The junior forward from Midland, Michigan (Midland HS), shot 9-of-14 from the field and 7-of-8 from the foul line. She also collected a game-high four steals, two assists and two rebounds in 25 minutes.
Senior center Rebekah Llorens of Grayslake, Illinois (Grayslake Central HS), posted her first double-double of the season with 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.
Senior guard Brittany Berry of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Catholic Central HS), and sophomore forward Mandy Traversa of Winfield, Illinois (Wheaton North HS), chipped in nine points apiece.
Sophomore guard Tyra Smith of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian HS), matched her career- and season-high with eight points.
Hope grabbed control of the game early from York (3-6). The Flying Dutch led 43-19 at halftime behind 15 points from McAfee and eight from Llorens.
