The Hope College men's basketball team looks to move into a first-place tie in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association tonight when it hosts Kalamazoo College tonight in a makeup game at DeVos Fieldhouse.
Tipoff is 7:30 p.m. There is no junior varsity game beforehand. Hope and Kalamazoo are playing after weather-related postponements on January 25 and January 27.
Coach Matt Neil's Flying Dutchmen enter the game with a 12-6 record and a 6-1 mark in MIAA play. They can pull even with Calvin College in the league standings with a win against Kalamazoo.
Kalamazoo is 9-9 overall and 4-3 in MIAA action. The Hornets have won three in a row, including a 60-58 win at Albion on Saturday.
Hope is on a four-game win streak, including a 67-56 win at Trine on Saturday.

This is the 199th game in a Hope-Kalamazoo rivalry that dates back to 1913. The Flying Dutchmen lead the all-time series by a 131-67 margin, including two victories last season.
Hope will look to slow the MIAA's two leading scorers. Senior guard Mark Ghafari tops the league at 24.9 points per game, while junior forward Adam Peters is second at 16.9 points per game.
The Hornets rank second in the MIAA at 78.5 points per game. They are sixth in the league in scoring defense at 79.9 allowed.
Hope is fifth in the MIAA in scoring defense at 70.8 points per game allowed. The Flying Dutchmen are tied for fourth in scoring offense at 73.3 points per game allowed.
Sophomore guard Alex Eidson of Grand Haven (Grand Haven) leads Hope 13.2 points per game. He is ranked 10th in the MIAA.
Sophomore guard Ben Gardner of Carmel, Ind. (Carmel HS), is tied for 11th in the MIAA at 13.0 points per game.
