The Hope College ice hockey team lost in a shootout at Adrian College Monday night, but picked up a point to move into a first-place tie in the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference West Division.
Both teams scored three goals during regulation. The Flying Dutchmen were outscored 2-0 during the shootout.
Hope shares the division lead with Davenport. The Flying Dutchmen close out the regular season this weekend with a two-game series against Aquinas College.
Goalie Eric Lipon of Brighton (Brighton HS) made 27 saves during regulation and overtime for Hope.
