Rob Calvert's hat trick helped the Hope College ice hockey team skate to a 7-4 win against Colorado State in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 Tournament opener on Tuesday in Coral Springs, Fla.

The Flying Dutchmen will play their second pool-play game on Wednesday, March 12, at 4:30 p.m. against Florida Gulf Coast. 

Calvert, a junior from Ada (Grand Rapids Forest Hills Eastern HS), scored three of Hope's final four goals of the game.

Senior goalie Drew Cook of Columbus, Ohio (Upper Arlington HS), stopped 20 of 24 shots for the Flying Dutchmen.
