Junior Montana Leep of Hastings (Grand Rapids South Christian HS) shot a 7-over-80 to lead the Hope College women's golf team to a first-round lead at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater Spring Fling on Friday.

The Flying Dutch shot a team score of 337. They are one stroke ahead of Wisconsin-Whitewater at the 36-hole, two-day tournament heading into Saturday's final round.

Leep is three shots off the individual lead. She is in fourth place.

Two other Hope golfers are in the top 10 — sophomore Morgan Leep of Hastings (South Christian HS) and senior Mary Bradley of Pierson (Tri County HS).

Morgan Leep is tied for sixth after an 83, while Bradley is tied for eighth after an 84.

Freshman Dominique Molinaro of Port Huron (Northern HS) is tied for 23rd with a 90.

Junior Andrea Powell of Jenison (Hudsonville HS) is tied for 31st after a 92.
