Sheri McCormack recorded a runner-up performance in the 1,500 meters at the Grand Valley State University Al Owens Invitational on Saturday.

The senior from Holland (West Ottawa HS) clocked a time of 4 minutes, 35.28 seconds against a field that included NCAA Division I, II and III and NAIA runners.

McCormack also took fourth in the 800 meters with a run of 2:15.38.

Hope placed 10th with 23.5 points.

In the 400 meters, senior Catherine Calyore of Naples, Fla. (Barron Collier HS), came in fourth by posting a time of 59.38 seconds.
