The Hope College women's golf team has selected two captains for the 2014-15 season: seniors Montana Leep and Andrea Powell.

Leep is a two-time captain and four-year player from Hastings, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian HS), while Powell is a four-year player from Jenison, Michigan (Hudsonville). Leep is majoring in psychology; Powell in Comprehensive Education K-8.

Both golfers will bring leadership to the Flying Dutch, coach Greg Stafford said.

"Montana has been a top 5 player since her freshmen year. She is a great team leader," Stafford said. "Montana leads by example. She is a very hard worker and has improved her game each year. Montana is very excited to lead the team again during her senior year.

"Andrea has been a very strong team leader for the Dutch during her career. The younger team members look to Andrea for support and direction," Stafford said. "Andrea is a very good team leader and looks forward to ending her career as a captain."
