Morgan Leep claimed medalist honors while leading the Hope College women's golf team to victory at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Fall Classic this weekend.

The junior from Hastings, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian HS), shot a 5-over-par 78 during the final round on Saturday in Delavan, Wisconsin.

The Flying Dutch had a 36-hole team score of 645. They finished 11 strokes ahead of runner-up Wheaton (Illinois).

Leep finished at 9-over par. She made the all-tournament team along with teammate Britni Gielow.

Gielow, a sophomore from Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores HS), finished five strokes behind Leep in fifth place. She shot back-to-back rounds of 80.

Senior Montana Leep of Hastings, Michigan (South Christian HS), tied for eighth after rounds of 80 and 83.

Freshman Nicole Meyer of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), tied for 14th place with rounds of 85 and 82.

Hope returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 24, when the Flying Dutch play their first Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Jamboree of the season at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Indiana.
