Hope College's Morgan Leep has been recognized as the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Golfer of the Week for meets through Sept. 21.

The junior from Hastings, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian HS), earned medalist honors in leading the Flying Dutch to a first-place showing at the Wisconsin-Whitewater Fall Invitational last weekend in Delavan, Wisconsin.

Leep posted rounds of 77 and 78 to finish three strokes ahead of her nearest competitor.

Leep is being honored as MIAA Player of the Week for the first time in her career. 

Hope returns to action on Wednesday, Sept. 24, at the MIAA Jamboree at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Ind. Teeoff is 1 p.m.
