A Ryan Restum hat trick helped the Hope College ice hockey team defeat Aquinas 6-3 on Friday in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Flying Dutchmen skated to their sixth consecutive win and improved to 17-2-3 overall in American Collegiate Hockey Association play.
Restum, a junior from East Lansing, Michigan (Okemos HS), scored twice in a span of 4 1/2 minutes late in the first period to gave Hope a 2-1 lead.
Junior goalie Eric Lipon of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), recorded 25 saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
Sophomore Elliott Digiso of Midland, Michigan (Midland HS), senior Jared Lehman of Carmel, Indiana (Watertown HS), and senior Caleb Morgan of Traverse City, Michigan (West HS), also scored for the Hope.
The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Saturday, Jan. 24, when they host Aquinas for a 7:30 p.m. game at Edge Ice Arena.
