Junior Rob Calvert and freshman Evan Fall both scored twice to lead the Hope College ice hockey team to an 11-1 win against Davenport on Friday.
The Flying Dutchmen (18-3-3 overall) reached a season-high in goals during American Collegiate Hockey Association play at Edge Ice Arena.
Hope also stayed on the heels of Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference leader Michigan State. The Flying Dutchmen trail MSU by one point with three games remaining.
Hope broke open the game with six second-period goals for a 7-0 lead.
Calvert scored twice during the second period. The junior from Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS), joined teammates Caleb Morgan and Ryan Restum for the team lead in points with 31.
Calvert has 14 goals and a team-high 17 assists this season.
Junior goalie Alex Caradonna of Rochester Hills, Michigan (Birmingham Brother Rice HS), made seven saves to earn the win for the Flying Dutchmen.
Hope skates against Davenport at 8:20 p.m. on Saturday, January 31, at Patterson Ice Center in Grand Rapids.
