Forward Garrett Gormley continued his scoring tear for the unbeaten Hope College ice hockey by netting two goals during an 8-3 win against Davenport on Saturday in Grand Rapids.
The sophomore from Fenton, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic HS) now has a team-leading 13 goals for the Flying Dutchmen.
Hope improved to 7-0 overall with the two-game weekend sweep.
The Flying Dutchmen also received two goals apiece from senior forward Brandon Flood of Mason, Michigan (Lansing Christian HS) and freshmen Austen Peterson of Highlands Ranch, Colorado (Rock Canyon HS).
Sophomore goalie Ryan Baron of Northville, Michigan (Ann Arbor Gabriel Richard HS) made 15 saves.
Hope returns to action next weekend with a two-game series against Michigan-Flint. The Flying Dutchmen host Michigan-Flint on Friday, Oct. 30 at 7:30 p.m. at Edge Ice Arena.
