Sophomore Alexandra Moxon of Naperville, Illinois (Naperville North HS), posted the best effort for the Hope College women's cross country team Friday at the Lansing Community College Invitational.
Moxon finished 34th out of 144 runners by clocking an 5K time of 20 minutes, 13.3 seconds at Grand Woods Park.
The Flying Dutch totaled 198 points for seventh place in the 14-team event.
Junior Amanda Dort of Alpena, Michigan (Alpena HS), took 46th with a run of 20:43.3.
Freshman Ellie Best of Portage, Michigan (Portage Central HS), placed 48th at 20:46.0.
Sophomore Alissa Frazee of Watervliet, Michigan (Home School) came in 51st at 20:48.1.
Senior Leah Murray of Iowa City, Iowa )West HS), rounded out Hope's scoring in 59th at 21:00.4.
Other finishers for the Flying Dutch were Mackenzie Govier in 68th at 21:22.1, Kelly Ocock in 73rd at 21:30.5, Emily Krueger in 74th at 21:30.6, Mackenzie Schmidt in 80th at 21:50.4, Amanda Bentley in 90th at 22:21.5, Kristen Godwin in 97th at 22:43.5, Caitlyn Campbell in 102nd at 22:49.8, and Theresa Gray in 23:46.7.
Hope returns to action on Friday, Oct. 16 at the Muskegon Community College Invitational.
