Senior Ryan Restum of East Lansing, Michigan (Okemos HS), and sophomore Garrett Gormley of Fenton, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic HS), each recorded a hat trick as the Hope College ice hockey team opened the 2015-16 season with a 11-2 home win against Lake Superior State on Friday at Edge Ice Arena.

Restum also added an assist for the Flying Dutchmen to give him a team-high four points for the game.

Freshman Jakub Myska of Liberec, Czech Republic (Tilton HS), collected a game-high three assists for Hope.

The Flying Dutchmen led 5-2 after the first period and 11-2 after the second.

Hope returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 10, at 3:30 p.m. against Lake Superior State at Georgetown Ice Arena in Georgetown Township.
