The Hope College men's basketball team topped the 2015-16 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's basketball preseason coaches poll announced today.
The Flying Dutchmen received six of seven possible first-place votes for a score of 48 points. Coaches could not vote for their own teams.
Hope returns all five starters from last season, including three who earned All-MIAA recognition: first-team center Brock Benson and forward Harrison Blackledge and second-team guard Ben Gardner.
The Flying Dutchmen open the season Friday, Nov. 20 at Wisconsin-Lacrosse.
Head coach Greg Mitchell enters his second season with the Flying Dutchmen. They posted an 18-9 record in his first season.
