The Hope College ice hockey team lost a tiebreaker for a berth in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division 3 Tournament semifinals and ended the 2014-15 season with a 26-3-4 record.

The Flying Dutchmen tied Bryn Athyn, Pennsylvania, 3-3 in the final pool game Thursday in Pelham, Alabama, but Bryn Atyhn advanced because it allowed two fewer goals in three pool games than Hope. Both teams had 2-0-1 pool records.

Neither team scored during the 10-minute overtime or the 20-minute third period.

The Flying Dutchmen tied the score at 3-3 when senior Rob Calvert of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Eastern HS), scored an unassisted goal with 1 minute, 36 seconds remaining in the second period.

Junior Ryan Restum of East Lansing, Michigan (Okemos HS), and sophomore Ben Hoard of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Home School), also scored for Hope.

Junior Eric Lipon of Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), totaled 40 saves in goal for the Flying Dutchmen.

Hope was outshot 43-37, including 11-3 in overtime.
