Junior Julia Stock of Norton Shores, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), took first in the 10,000 meters among 29 runners at the Emory, Georgia Invitational on Saturday.
Stock helped the Flying Dutch place eighth out of 27 teams with 38 points. She won her race with a time of 37 minutes, 32.32 seconds.
Hope finished second in the distance relay. Sophomore Erin Herrmann of Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS), sophomore Kate Kooiker of Hamilton, Michigan (Hamilton HS), freshman Alexandra Moxon of Naperville, Illinois (Naperville North HS), and freshman Marianne Lohrstorfer of Indianapolis, Indiana (North Central HS), clocked a time of 13:11.17
Hope also came in fourth in the 4 by 400-meter relay. Junior Jane Pearson of Lake City, Michigan (Northern Michigan Christian HS), senior Katie Afton of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Portage Central HS), sophomore Emma Ropski of Park Ridge, Illinois (Maine Township HS), and freshman Rachel Satkiewicz of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm HS), had a run of 3:58.43.
Herrmann took fifth in the 1,500 at 4:48.47.
Freshman Meredith Rinke of Plymouth, Michigan (Canton HS), placed sixth in the javelin with a toss of 33-9 meters.
Ropski recorded a seventh-place effort in the 800 of 2:18.19.
Freshman Allison Rich of Haslett, Michigan (Haslett HS), finished seventh in 100 hurdles with a run of 16.40 seconds.
Hope competes next on March 27-28 at the Grand Rapids Open at Houseman Field.
