Hope College's Julia Stock has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association's Women's Track Athlete of the Week for events the week of March 16-21, the MIAA announced on Wednesday.
Stock is being recognized after winning the 10,000 meters at the Emory, Georgia Invitational with a time of 37 minutes, 32.22 seconds.
The junior from Norton Shores, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), clocked the fastest time in the 10,000 by any MIAA runner so far.
Stock is being honored as MIAA Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.
