Jane Pearson and Rachel Satkiewicz won two events apiece to lead the Hope College women's track & field team during a dual meet at Calvin on Monday.
The meet did not count toward the MIAA standings and used an unusual scoring format.
The Flying Dutch's points were combined with the Calvin men for a total of 155 — 16 fewer than the combined total of the Flying Dutchmen and the Calvin women.
Pearson clocked the top time in the 100 hurdles of 16.12. The junior from Lake City, Michigan (Northern Michigan Christian HS), also won the long jump with a leap of 5.19 meters.
Satkiewicz, a freshman from Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm HS), won the 200 meters in 27.14 seconds and the 400 meters in 1:00.89.
Sophomore Sierra Schultz of Kellogg, Iowa (Grinnell Community HS), sprinted to a winning 100-meter dash time of 13.36 seconds.
Hope posted a first-place 4 by 100 relay time of 51.13 seconds from the team of Schultz, Satkiewicz, senior Katie Afton of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Portage Central HS), and Pearson.
The Flying Dutch return to action on Friday with a 1 p.m. dual meet at Alma.
