The Hope College women's track & field team ran away with the MIAA Jamboree on Saturday at Adrian by scoring 955.5 points during the one-day event.
The Flying Dutch posted first-place performances in three events.
Junior Jane Pearson of Lake City, Michigan (Northern Michigan Christian HS), took first in the javelin with a toss of 108 feet, 5 inches.
Sophomore Sierra Schultz of Kellogg, Iowa (Grinnell Community HS), won the 400-meter hurdles in 1 minute, 6.66 seconds.
The Flying Dutch's 4 by 400 relay of Pearson, senior Katie Afton of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Portage Central HS), Schultz and freshman Rachel Satkiewicz of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm HS), had a top effort of 4:03.04.
Junior Julia Stock of Norton Shores, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), finished runner-up in the 5,000 meters at 17:46.99.
Junior Kaylee Kish of Bay Village, Ohio (Bay HS), was runner-up in pole vault by clearing 9 feet, 6 ¼ inches.
Sophomore Erin Herrmann of Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS), took second in the 3,000 steeplechase with a time of 11:19.03.
Freshman Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville HS), came in second in the 800 meters at 2:22.28.
Satkiewicz was runner-up in the 400 meters at 1:01.03.
Adrian finished second with 769 points, while Trine was third with 676.. The MIAA Jamboree does not factor into determining the league champion.
Hope returns to action next weekend at the two-day Grand Valley State University Al Owens Invitational that begins on Friday.
