Hope College's Alison Rich has been selected the MIAA's Women's Field Athlete of the Week for meets through April 26.

The freshman from Haslett, Michigan (Haslett HS), finished second in the heptathlon at Hillsdale College's Gina Relays last weekend with a score of 4,302 points.

Highlighting her performance was a toss of 121 feet, 10 inches in the javelin, which ranks first among MIAA athletes this season. 

Rich is being honored as MIAA Athlete of the Week for the first time in her career.
