The Hope College women's lacrosse team made a furious comeback in the second half before falling at Albion 12-9 in the semifinals of the MIAA Tournament on Wednesday.

The Flying Dutch concluded the 2015 season with a 6-9 record to match the program best for wins in a single season.

Sophomore Dana Kym of Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville HS), topped Hope with four goals. She had three during the second half as the Flying Dutch outscored Albion (14-2) by a 7-2 margin.

Sophomore Alexandra Webb of Woodland Hills, California (Calabasas HS), and freshman Emily Deane of Rochester Hills, Michigan (Rochester Adams HS), each chipped in two goals.

Senior Molly Greenfield of Georgetown, Texas (Georgetown HS), had one goal and one assist. Hope's all-time leading points and goal scorer wrapped up her career with 115 points and 90 goals.

Greenfield led the Flying Dutch this season with 38 goals, third-most in team history.

Kym finished with 37 goals, fourth-most all-time.

Senior Makenzie Bortell of Montague, Michigan (Montague HS), collected one assist against Albion. Bortell, pictured, ended up with a school-record 12 assists this season.
