Hope's Seth McCall Named MIAA Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player Of Week

Hope College's Seth McCall has been selected the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men's Lacrosse Defensive Player of the Week for games played through April 5.

The freshman goalie from Hilliard, Ohio (Hilliard Davidson HS), set Hope and MIAA single-game records with 21 saves during a 9-5 win at Trine on Saturday in the league opener for the Flying Dutchmen.

McCall surpassed the previous school record by six saves as he recorded a save percentage of 80.8 percent against Trine.

McCall is being honored as MIAA Player of the Week for the first time in his career.

Hope returns to action on Saturday when the Flying Dutchmen host Adrian for a 1 p.m. match at Van Andel Stadium.
