Nicole Meyer carded a 4-over-par 76 to lead the Hope College women's golf team to the first-round lead at the 13-team Olivet Fall Invitational on Friday.
The 36-hole, two-day tournament at The Medalist in Marshall concludes on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch shot a team score of 328 and are 11 strokes ahead of second-place Olivet.
Meyer, pictured, recorded 14 pars and four bogeys during her round. The sophomore from Brighton, Michigan (Brighton HS), had the lowest 18-hole score among 83 golfers.
Senior Morgan Leep of Hastings, Michigan (Grand Rapids South Christian HS), is in third place after shooting an 80.
Junior Britni Gielow of Norton Shores, Michigan (Mona Shores HS), is tied for sixth after an 82.
Sophomore Megan Wierenga of Byron Center, Michigan (South Christian HS), rounded out Hope's scoring with a 90. She is tied for 27th.
Sophomore Megan Klintworth of Jackson, Michigan (Hanover-Horton HS, had an 81 for Hope.
