The Hope College women's cross country team ran away with its sixth consecutive Vanderbilt Invitational title and 22nd championship overall on Saturday.
The Flying Dutch swept the top five individual finishes at Ridge Point Church for a perfect score of 15 points at the four-team event and clocked seven of the top eight times.
Junior Erin Herrmann of Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS), posted the best 5K run with a time of 18 minutes, 33.4 seconds.
Freshman Sarah Neumar of Ann Arbor, Michigan (Huron HS), placed runner-up at 18:51.8.
Senior Julia Stock of Norton Shores, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), took third with a time of 18:54.5.
Freshman Avery Lowe of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon HS), came in fourth at 19:15.0.
Freshman Emily Hamilton of Naperville, Illinois (Naperville North HS), rounded out Hope's scoring with a fifth-place run of 19:18.4.
Sophomore Rachael Webb of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville HS), finished seventh at 19:46.0.
Junior Emily Joosse of Chillicothe, Ohio (Zane Trace HS), was eighth at 19:54.0.
The Flying Dutch return to action on Saturday, Sept. 12 at the Calvin Invitational in Grand Rapids.
