The Hope College women's track & field team placed second in two events and finished fourth at the season-opening Aquinas College indoor quad on Friday in Grand Rapids.

Sophomore Rachel Satkiewicz of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm HS) finished runner-up in the 400 meters with a time of 1 minute, 01.61 seconds.

Sophomore Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville HS) clocked a runner-up run in the 600 meters of 1:39.91.

The Flying Dutch totaled 62 points for fourth place. They trailed Siena Heights (213), Aquinas (174) and Spring Arbor (91).

Hope came third in the 4 by 400 relay. Senior Jane Pearson of Lake City, Michigan (Northern Michigan Christian HS), Webb, sophomore Alexis Guttilla of St. Charles, Illinois (Westminster Christian HS) and Satkiewicz teamed for a run of 4:15.93.

Guttilla came in fourth in the 800 meters at 2:30.74.

Sophomore Ashley Warner of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake) was fifth in the 1-mile run at 5:31.47.

Hope returns to action on Saturday, Jan. 30 at the Grand Valley State University Lints Open.
