Sophomore Evan Augustine of Maple Grove, Minnesota (Maple Grove HS) scored two goals to lead the Hope College ice hockey team in an 8-1 win against South Florida on Friday at Edge Ice Arena.

The Flying Dutchmen improved to 9-1 in American Collegiate Hockey Association play.

Augustine opened a decisive four-goal first period with a goal that propelled Hope to a 6-0 lead.

Sophomore Cole DeVos of Ada, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian) chipped in two assists.

The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Saturday, Oct. 29 with a 7:30 p.m. game against Central Florida at Edge Ice Arena.
