Erin Herrmann Adds Fourth MIAA Women's Country Runner Of Week Honor To Resume

Hope College's Erin Herrmann has been chosen the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week for meets through October 29.

The senior from Wheaton, Illinois (Wheaton-Warrenville South HS) is honored after winning the MIAA Championship race on Saturday and leading the Flying Dutch to back-to-back league titles.

Herrmann clocked a 6K time at Tomac Woods Golf Course in Albion of 21 minutes, 37.9 seconds.

This was Herrmann's fifth first-place performance of the season. She also has finished first at the Vanderbilt Invitational, Ferris State Invitational, MIAA Jamboree and Wisconsin-Oshkosh Invitational.

Herrmann is the sixth Hope runner to earn MIAA Most Valuable Runner honors. She followed Tauna Jecmen (1987-88), Katy Conlen (1991), Marcia Vandersall Bannink (1992), Tina Pike (2004) and Sheri McCormack (2013).

This is the fourth time this season Herrmann has been named MIAA Cross Country Runner of the Week and the sixth time in her career.
