The 16th-ranked Hope College women's cross country posted the top performance among NCAA Division III teams at the Principia Invitational on Saturday in Elsah, Illinois.
The Flying Dutch finished third out of 13 teams with 124 points.
Freshman Anna Frazee of Watervliet, Michigan (Watervliet HS) topped Hope with 13th-place, 6K effort of 24 minutes, 20.58 seconds.
Sophomore Allie Utting of Grandville, Michigan (Grandville) took 23rd in 24:48.64.
Sophomore Abby Couwenhoven of Mokena, Illinois (Lincoln-Way East) came in 29th at 25:04.25.
Senior Kathleen Kooiker of Hamilton, Michigan (Hamilton) placed 34th at 25:17.46.
Junior Marianne Lohrstorfer of Indianapolis, Indiana (North Central) rounded out the Flying Dutch's scoring with a 36th-place time of 25:22.17.
Other times for Hope came from freshman Hannah Kenny of Grand Haven, Michigan (Grand Haven) in 42nd at 25:39.33 and sophomore Mackenzie Schmidt of Spring Lake, Michigan (Spring Lake) in 47th at 25:46.85.
The Flying Dutch return to action on Friday, Oct. 14 at the Muskegon Community College Invitational.
