Sophomore Jake Faustyn of Okemos, Michigan (Okemos HS) registered two goals and an assist as the Hope College ice hockey team beat Michigan State 6-3 on Friday in East Lansing to snap a two-game losing streak.

Goalie Austin Kane of Flint, Michigan (Powers Catholic) stopped 36 of 39 shots.

On Saturday, the Flying Dutchmen lost the series 4-1 at Edge Ice Arena. Sophomore Cole DeVos of Ada, Michigan (Grand Rapids Christian) scored for Hope.

The Flying Dutchmen return to the ice on Thursday, Nov. 19 with a 9 p.m. game against Adrian Gold at Edge Ice Arena.
