Box Score Sophomore Emily Deane of Rochester Hills, Michigan (Rochester Adams HS) scored three goals for the Hope College women's lacrosse team in a 13-8 loss to George Fox, Oregon on Saturday in Santa Barbara, California.
The Flying Dutch fell to 1-2 on the season in the first match of their spring break trip.
Hope also received two goals from freshman Hannah VanAlst of Clio, Michigan (Flint Powers Catholic HS) and one apiece from junior Alexandra Webb of Woodland Hills, California (Calabasas HS), sophomore Grace Ahlgrim of Libertyville, Illinois (Libertyville HS) and freshman Allison Darnell of Farmington Hills, Michigan (North Farmington HS).
Goalie Michaela Biegner of Hillsdale, Michigan (Hillsdale HS) made eight saves.
The Flying Dutch return to action on Wednesday, March 23 against Worcester State in Santa Barbara, California.
