The Hope College women's track & field placed fifth at the 32-team, two-day Emory Invitational that concluded Saturday in Atlanta.
The Flying Dutch totaled 44 points. Emory won with 109 – 28.5 more than runner-up West Georgia.
Rowan took third with 54, while Shorter was fourth with 49.
Sophomore Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville HS) led Hope with a second-place finish in the 800 meters. She had a time of 2 minutes, 15.36 seconds.
The Flying Dutch recorded two of the top four times in the 10,000 meters. Freshman Emily Hamilton of Naperville, Illinois (Naperville North HS) took third in 38:53.79, while freshman Avery Lowe of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon HS) placed fourth at 39:00.52.
Senior Julia Stock of Norton Shores, Michigan (Grand Haven HS) ran a fourth-place time in the 5,000 meter seeded run of 17:48.46.
Sophomore Marianne Lohrstorfer of Indianapolis, Indiana (North Central HS) won the 5,000 meter C division in 19:42.36.
Hope returns to action next weekend back in Atlanta for the two-day Emory Classic beginning on Friday, March 25.
