Hope College's Rachael Webb and Haley Fischman swept Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association for meets through March 20.
This is the first MIAA weekly recognition for both athletes.
Fischman, pictured top right, captured field athlete honors after a ninth-place finish in the discus at the Emory Invitational on Saturday.
The sophomore from Grand Ledge, Michigan (Lansing Catholic Central HS) tossed throw measured 114-3, just five inches shy of the eighth-place mark.
Fischman's effort came in a field of more than 50 throwers in the events.
Webb, pictured, top left. claimed track athlete honors after scoring in two events at the Emory Invitational on Saturday.
The sophomore from Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville HS) placed second overall in the 800m run in a time of 2:15.35. Webb also ran the second leg of Hope's 4x400m relay that placed eighth overall, clocking in at 4:06.23.
Webb contributed nine points to Hope's fifth-place team total of 44.
