The Hope College women's track & field team recorded the top performances in eight events against visiting Calvin Friday at Buys Athletics Field.
The Flying Dutch's team score was combined with the Calvin men for a 155-152 loss to the Hope men/Calvin women.
Sophomore Rachel Anderson of Muskegon, Michigan (Mona Shores HS) clocked the fastest 100-meter time at 13.38 seconds.
Sophomore Rachel Satkiewicz of Bloomfield Hills, Michigan (Seaholm HS) and Anderson placed first and second in the 200 meters at 27.26 and 28.04.
Satkiewicz led a sweep of the 400 meters with a time of 1:00.04. Freshman Jessica Korte of Washington, Michigan (Cairo American HS) finished runner-up at 1:03.59, while sophomore Mackenzie Micho of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids HS) was third at 1:06.28.
Senior Emma Ropski of Park Ridge, Illinois (Maine Township HS) and sophomore Alexis Guttilla of St. Charles, Illinois (Westminster Christian HS) went 1-2 in the 800 meters at 2:21.22 and 2:27.75, respectively.
Senior Julia Stock of Norton Shores, Michigan (Grand Haven HS), senior Emily Joosse of Chillicothe, Ohio (Zane Trace HS) and freshman Avery Lowe of North Muskegon, Michigan (North Muskegon HS) claimed all the points in the 3,000 meters. Stock finished in 10:41.92 and was followed by Joosse at 10:43.28 and Lowe at 10:43.95.
Hope won the 4x400 relay. Pearson, sophomore Rachael Webb of Grand Rapids, Michigan (Grandville HS), Ropski and Satkiewicz had a time of 4:08.89.
Senior Jane Pearson of Lake City, Michigan (Northern Michigan Christian HS) came in second in the 100 hurdles at 16.67 seconds. Sophomore Alison Rich of Haslett, Michigan (Haslett HS) was third at 16.77.
Junior Sierra Schultz of Kellogg, Iowa (Grinnell Community HS) placed runner-up in the 400 hurdles at 1:02.32. Rich was third at 1:11.09.
Hope went 1-2-3 in the javelin: Pearson at 35.73 meters, Rich at 34.27 and sophomore Shannon Crawford of Bettendorf, Iowa (Pleasant Valley HS) at 33.27.
The Flying Dutch posted the top two performances in the pole vault: senior Kaylee Kish of Bay Village, Ohio (Bay HS) at 2.91 meters and sophomore Sarah Murphy of Ada, Michigan (Forest Hills Northern HS) at 2.76.
Senior Karina Winkelman of St. Paul, Minnesota (Woodbury HS) finished second in the long jump at 4.97 meters.
Webb took third in the 1,500 meters at 4:48.86.
Rich finished third in the high jump at 1.47 meters.
Sophomore Haley Fischman of Grand Ledge, Michigan (Lansing Catholic Central HS0 was third in the discus at 36.06 meters.
Sophomore Alejandra Gomez Limon of Rochester, Michigan (Notre Dame Pontiac HS) came in third in the hammer throw at 41.30 meters.
Hope returns to action on Saturday, April 9 at the Michigan State Invitational.
