Hope College's Marie Holaway has been named Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women's Tennis Player of the Week for matches played through April 3.

The senior from Holland, Michigan (West Ottawa HS) earned the award for the first time in her career after posting an unbeaten record in singles and doubles play last week.

Holaway went 3-0 at No. 1 doubles and 2-0 at No. 3 singles during the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Midwest Regional in Madison, Wisconsin.

She paired with junior Nancy Benda of Birmingham, Michigan (Seaholm HS) for wins over the top doubles teams from Kenyon, Ohio, Kalamazoo and Augustana, Illinois.

Holaway also defeated foes from Kenyon at Augustana in singles play.
