The Hope College women's tennis team extended its postseason tradition with a poised, efficient 5–1 win over Ohio Northern in Thursday afternoon's NCAA Tournament First Round in St. Louis.
The win in Hope's 14th consecutive NCAA post-season appearance sends the Flying Dutch into Friday's second round to face host school and defending national champion, Washington University in St. Lous on Friday, May 8.
With two tight doubles victories setting the tone, Hope controlled the match from the outset and closed out four straight-set singles wins to advance.
