Stock is seeded 17th out of 22 runners in the 10,000 meters. She posted her qualifying time of 36 minutes, 2.54 seconds at the Hillsdale College Gina Relays on April 28. It was the last time she ran the event.
Unlike other events, the 10,000 meters are a one-race event at nationals. There are no preliminaries.
Hope coach Kevin Cole said Stock is in good position to excel.
"Julia has been laying low for a awhile," Cole said. "She should be rested up to have a really good race in the 10K."
Stock is aiming to join Marcia VanderSall (1993, 1991) and Jennifer Ernst (1999) as All-Americans in the 10,000 meters.
Stock is a four-time national qualifier at the Division III Cross Country Championships. This is her first trip to track & field nationals.
